Shining today’s Spotlight on one of our food sorting lead volunteers, Jill!
Jill finds great fulfillment in giving back to the community and has dedicated her time to volunteering at various organizations in the past. She recently joined Food Banks Mississauga this past spring because,
“There’s never been a greater need for support for food banks than there is now. As a school trustee, I know what a difference it makes when families have their needs met. No one should have to worry about having enough to eat.”
Being part of Food Banks Mississauga’s volunteer team is a true highlight for Jill. She’s passionate about collaborating with fellow neighbours to meet the needs of the community, and is always eager to share her enthusiasm and commitment with others.
“There are a lot of challenges in the world right now and that can be overwhelming. None of us can fix everything, but each of us can help in some way in our own corners. When we all do that, the impact is enormous. This is a fun, local, easy way to help make things better. We always love having new people come join our team!”
