The debate, moderated by Mark McAllister of CityNews, will take place on Thursday, May 23rd at our warehouse (4544 Eastgate Parkway, Mississauga ON L4W 3W6) from 7:00 PM – 9:00 PM.
The four candidates participating in the debate are Alvin Tedjo, Dipika Damerla, Stephen Dasko, and Brian Crombie.
The upcoming Mississauga mayoral by-election is a chance for you to tell candidates what your priorities are in our growing city. Food Banks Mississauga and our network of 65+ agency members continue to serve record-breaking numbers of food bank users, and food insecurity is on the rise with no end in sight. You can hear directly from the candidates on their vision and strategies for addressing key issues facing the city, like poverty alleviation and food security.
This debate is being held by Food Banks Mississauga to ensure that poverty alleviation, including income and housing security, and food security are key platform issues for Mississauga mayoral candidates.
We have reached maximum capacity for the in-person event and invite you to RSVP to the CityNews live-stream instead.
