For every $1 you give, we can provide healthy food for 1 meal to children, seniors, families, and other neighbours facing food insecurity in Mississauga.
$90 Feeds a Child for a Whole Month
As the school year ends, so do in-school meal and snack programs that children can depend on for nine months of the year. You can help ensure kids have healthy and nutritious food all summer long.

Will I receive a tax receipt for my donation?
Eligible donors will receive a tax receipt using the information provided during the donation process. Your full name and mailing address are required. Receipts for monthly donations are currently consolidated and sent in February of the following year.

What should I do if I do not receive my tax receipt?
Please email donation@foodbanksmississauga.ca or call 905-270-5589 ext. 850. Include your full name, donation date, amount and the email address used for the donation so the team can locate your gift.

Are there other ways I can donate?
Yes, there are more ways you can support neighbours facing food insecurity. You can make a secure one-time or monthly donation online. You can also donate by e-transfer, make a gift of securities, set up a legacy gift, give food, or explore other ways to support Food Banks Mississauga:
1. Make a gift directly through your bank account by donating via e-transfer! It’s a quick and secure way to give and support neighbours in need. Set up the e-transfer in your bank account and send to: donation@foodbanksmississauga.ca. Fill out the e-transfer information form so we can issue you a tax receipt.
2. Donate through United Way! While Food Banks Mississauga is not a partner agency of United Way, you can designate a donation to us through them. Simply fill in our name and registered charity number (11892 7011 RR0001) in the appropriate fields on the form, and the United Way will forward us your donation, less a processing fee. For more information on this service, visit the United Way website.

Can I make a monthly donation?
Yes. Choose the monthly giving option in the donation form and select the amount you would like to contribute each month. Monthly donations provide reliable support that helps Food Banks Mississauga respond to community needs throughout the year.

How can I update or cancel my monthly donation?
Contact the Food Banks Mississauga donor support team at donation@foodbanksmississauga.ca or 905-270-5589 ext. 850 for help updating or cancelling your monthly gift. Please do not send payment or card information by email.

Can I donate by e-transfer?
Yes. Send your e-transfer to donation@foodbanksmississauga.ca and complete the e-transfer information form. Use the same email address for both steps so Food Banks Mississauga can match your information and issue an eligible tax receipt.

Can I donate a gift of securities?
Yes. Food Banks Mississauga accepts eligible gifts of publicly traded securities and mutual funds through the securities donation process.

Can I donate food instead of money?
Yes. Food businesses should visit the Industry Food Donation page for information on larger or commercial food donations.
