You care for neighbours in a hundred different ways.
For a while there, it felt like brighter days would never come. Through the coldest weeks of the winter, our community was tested—both by the Omicron surge and soaring food and housing costs.
There’s no doubt, hunger hit hard this winter. But you were always there, selflessly supporting your neighbours through every new challenge. I just can’t thank you enough.
And now, with the sun warm on our faces again, there’s an exhilarating feeling of hope and renewal in the air.
As we slowly start to recover and build a brighter future, we need to make sure that we bring every one of our neighbours along with us—especially our community’s most vulnerable. I’m confident that we can, with you by our side.
Your incredible support of this year’s Give 30 campaign and Spring Food Drive shows what we can accomplish together when we put our hearts and minds to it. A very special thank you to our generous Spring Drive partner Scotts Canada Ltd., who matched every gift up to $10,000, helping our community make an even bigger difference!
Thanks to you, children, families, seniors, and other neighbours facing hunger will have the fresh, nutritious food they need all spring.
And with Mental Health Week this month, I want to celebrate another way you’re supporting your neighbours. You’re providing much-needed peace of mind by keeping food on families’ tables—and you’re helping food banks serve as vital community hubs, connecting neighbours with the mental health supports they need. Isabella’s story is just one inspiring example.
Thank you for everything you’re doing to care for your neighbours this spring.
